This site offers the island community and its housing organizations information and links to affordable housing resources:

Island-wide Housing Needs Assessment
The Island Affordable Housing Fund engaged consultant John Ryan of Development Cycles to conduct a housing needs assessment for Martha's Vineyard. The purpose was to evaluate the housing needs - both rental and ownership - for the Island's 15,000 year-round residents.

Model Deed Rider
The Dukes County Regional Housing Authority and the Island Affordable Housing Fund have developed a model deed rider that can be used by Island housing organizations and communities to perpetually protect the affordability of housing on Martha's Vineyard. The document is formatted to allow parties using the deed rider to easily select from a range of choices that best fits a particular set of housing circumstances.

Housing Toolbox
The Regional Housing Authority has created an Affordable Housing Toolbox to assist towns in planning and creating local inventive housing solutions. The toolbox includes various affordable housing strategies from inclusionary zoning to how to secure land to types of funding sources that island towns and communities across the commonwealth are using. Much of the information was taken from a publication prepared by CHAPA and MHP entitled "Taking the Initiative - A Guidebook on Creating Affordable Housing Strategies."

Town Zoning Analysis
The Regional Housing Authority has completed a Town Zoning Analysis that provides an overview of each of the town's zoning regulations on Martha's Vineyard as they relate to affordable housing. The analysis also recommends new zoning provisions to increase the town's stock of affordable housing.

Community Land Trusts
The Community Land Trust model was developed by the Institute for Community Economics (ICE) as a way to encourage affordable resident controlled housing and local control of land and other resources.
